Q:
Do you have female therapists?
A:
Yes! Many clients prefer a therapist of their own gender or race, and
may also feel comfortable with a therapist from a particular age group.
It is important to let us know about your preferences, so that the best
“match” can be made between therapist and client. Feel free
to ask questions about the background, training and experiences of your
therapist.

|
Q:
Do you have evening appointments?
A:
Yes. Evening appointments are always in high demand, however, and the
number of evening appointments we can offer is sometimes limited.

|
Q:
What are the hours of operation of NEOBH?
A:
NEOBH is open from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Our
offices are open from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM on Fridays. Saturday
appointments can be made via arrangement, and are available in the
North Canton Office.
NEOBH
is closed from 12:00 – 1:00 PM daily for lunch.

|
|
Q:
Is emergency coverage available?
A:
Yes. When the office is closed, clients may call the office number of
the branch at which they receive services. Information is provided
regarding how to reach the therapist on call, in the event that
consultation is needed. During regular office hours, therapists can be
reached by phone. The Clinical Director provides additional back-up in
emergency situations.

|
|
Q:
How long does a therapy session last?
A:
A therapy session is 45 minutes in duration. Assessment sessions are
also 45 minutes in length.

|
|
Q:
Does NEOBH accept insurance for Divorce/Custody evaluations and
Parenting Evaluations?
A:
Commercial insurance is NOT accepted for these kinds of evaluations.
These evaluations are frequently ordered by the Court.
|
|
|
Q:
How much is my co-pay?
A:
NEOBH investigates insurance coverage requirements after data is
collected during the Phone Intake process. We call the insurance
carrier to make certain that accurate and current information is
available. Co-payments are determined by each insurance carrier. When
the first appointment is made, NEOBH Phone Intake staff communicates
all arrangements, including data regarding co-pays, to the
client/guardian.
NEOBH
expects co-payments at the time that services are received. If a parent
brings a child for treatment, but a divorce decree indicates that the
other parent is responsible for medical bills, it is the responsibility
of the parent bringing the child in for services to provide co-payment.
In this instance, the parent may request documentation of this payment
and NEOBH can provide this receipt immediately.

|
Q:
Does NEOBH have a Sliding Fee Scale?
A:
NEOBH participates in a Public Subsidy Contract with the Stark County
Community Mental Health Board. This “sliding fee” scale can
be utilized by Stark County residents, only.
|
|
|
Q:
Does NEOBH prescribe medication?
A:
No. Medications for mental health concerns can be obtained by a medical
doctor, only. NEOBH may make recommendations for medication, if
necessary. In this event, referrals will be made to a medical provider,
such as a Family Physician or a Psychiatrist.
|
|
|
Q:
Does NEOBH offer childcare for adults receiving services?
A:
No. Our waiting room is “child-friendly,” but children must
be supervised by an adult.
|
|
|
Q:
Does NEOBH use Play Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in
treatment?
A:
Yes! These are widely accepted forms of treatment, and NEOBH employs
therapists proficient in both. Only empirically tested treatment
modalities are utilized at NEOBH.
|
|
|
Q:
Does NEOBH charge for missed appointments?
A:
Yes. NEOBH requires clients to cancel appointments with 24 hour notice.
If this is not done, it is likely that no-show/cancellation fees will
be applied. Your therapy time slot is reserved for you.
