Ms. Berry is a 2006 graduate of the University of Akron, where she was awarded a Masters degree in Community Counseling. She is licensed as a Professional Counselor. Ms. Berry's clinical work at NEOBH is currently supervised by Vicki Boatright, PCC.
Ms. Berry’s work at NEOBH has been directed toward the establishment and refinement of therapeutic services within the C.A.R.E. (Children At Risk Evaluation) Center at Akron Children's Hospital. This is a unique multidisciplinary setting devoted to the assessment and treatment of victims of various forms of abuse as well as exposure to family violence. At the C.A.R.E. Center, Ms. Berry has focused her work on child and adolescent victims of various types of trauma.
Ms. Berry has a strong interest in empirically-supported treatment methods for victims of trauma, and has received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment (TF-CBT). She is part the Stark County TF-CBT Learning Collaborative.
