Vickie Hanna, LISW-S, LCDC-III

Population Served:  Children, Adolescents, Adults

Ms. Hanna is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S). During her extensive career, Ms. Hanna has worked in a number of clinical settings, including residential treatment, outpatient mental health agencies, healthcare facilities and nursing homes. Her training in Mental Health and Addiction counseling is enhanced by additional credentials and licensure in the area of Chemical Dependency. 

In addition to her clinical work at NEOBH, Ms. Hanna is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Health Professions at the University of Akron. Thus, she trains newly-emerging clinicians in effective intervention techniques, with a particular emphasis on clinical practice in the area of Addiction. 

Ms. Hanna has additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and uses this Evidence-Based approach to assist adult clients with the effective management of difficult/painful emotions, so that they can maintain their equilibrium. DBT skills are useful for clients who struggle with a variety of emotional and relationship concerns.
