Ms. Molnar received a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from
Marshall
University
Graduate
College
in 1998, and was awarded an Educational Specialist Degree the following year. She was certified as a School Psychologist in
West Virginia
in 1999, and following her relocation to
Ohio
in September of 2003 she became licensed as a school psychologist through the Ohio State Board of Psychology as well as the Ohio Department of Education. Ms. Molnar currently works as a Psychology Assistant under the clinical supervision of Robin Tener, Ph.D.
Ms. Molnar has worked with children, adults and families within a variety of settings, including school programs, private agency settings, and a home-based family preservation project. Her work with severely troubled children in adoptive environments resulted in the development of particular interest and expertise in intensive therapeutic interventions with children who manifest Reactive Attachment Disorder. Ms. Molnar’s clinical work at NEOBH is almost exclusively devoted to the treatment of children who demonstrate attachment problems, and she additionally provides extensive consultation to caregivers and family members.
In addition to her part-time clinical work at NEOBH, Ms. Molnar is employed as a School Psychologist at Akron Children’s Hospital. Within this role, Ms. Molnar conducts psychoeducational assessments, and individual and group counseling, as well as parent and classroom consultation. She has facilitated professional training on a variety of topics related to child abuse and neglect, and has delivered community presentations to Court-appointed special advocates, school personnel, parents and youth leaders.
