Ms.
Pittak is a 1984 graduate of The University of Dayton, where she
achieved a Master of Science in Education with specialization in
school counseling. She has worked in both private and public mental
health settings, and has worked with severely impaired children and
adolescents and their families in a Day Treatment program. Ms.
Pittak has also worked as a Counselor/Child Advocate in a domestic
violence shelter.
Ms.
Pittak has extensive experience and training in the treatment of
children with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). She has attended
trainings sponsored by ATTACH, a national organization focused on
improving treatment outcomes for children who have failed to form a
secure attachment.
Ms.
Pittak has focused her work at NEOBH on this challenging clinical
population, and has additionally provided assistance to parents and
children via the Intensive Parent-Child Interaction (PICI) program at
NEOBH.
