Dr. Seifert is a licensed Psychologist who specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults. Dr. Seifert is particularly skilled in the implementation of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques with individuals who demonstrate Depression, Anxiety Disorders, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Dr. Seifert is also a specialist in the area of Chemical Dependency. She is the former Clinical Director of Oriana House, and is currently employed by Akron Children’s Hospital as the Director of the Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC). Dr. Seifert is also an Adjunct Professor on the faculty of
Kent
State
University
. In addition to her licensure as a Psychologist, Dr. Seifert is licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC).
Dr. Seifert has offered community presentations related to addiction, disability management, depression and anxiety. She has additionally presented professional presentations concerning polypharmacy issues for geriatric clients, and co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance abuse).
