Lori Brisbin-Shepler, Ph.D.

Dr. Shepler was awarded a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Kent State University in 1991, and was independently licensed as a psychologist in 1992. Her clinical experiences have been focused on children and adolescents, with a particular emphasis on treatment interventions for child and adolescent victims of sexual abuse. Dr. Shepler has worked within specialized programs designed for the needs of abuse victims, and has acted in a supervisory role to assist other clinicians in the development of expertise with this clinical population.
Dr. Shepler also has expertise in the provision of mental health services to children that demonstrate Developmental Handicaps and Mental Retardation, and has provided both individualized services and parent consultation to assist this special client population.
Dr. Shepler joined the staff of NEOBH in 1992. Her role at NEOBH has included clinical work and supervision, as well as administration of the Continuous Quality Improvement Program (CQI). Dr. Shepler was instrumental in the development of the CQI Program at NEOBH, and has been responsible for its refinement. Her efforts have resulted in the maintenance of high-quality services at NEOBH.
